Tony Dorigo gives verdict on Tyler Roberts role in Leeds side
Tony Dorigo has explained that he’s still looking for Leeds United’s Tyler Roberts to do a bit extra when it comes to his end product.
Roberts, who joined the Whites for £4million () in 2018, has enjoyed a strong run in the side recently due to injures.
The Welsh attacker has started the last five consecutive games in the Premier League, filling into the creative role behind central striker Patrick Bamford.
It’s arguably been the best form he’s shown this season during the last few games, but the end product is lacking.
He’s yet to score this campaign in 18 games across all competition, and set up two assists.
Dorigo seems encouraged by the 22-year-old’s effort in the Leeds team, but ultimately it boils down to making the difference in front of goal.
“When you’re playing in that position you have to make a difference. You have to be the man to unlock something or score. We saw the pass to Bamford in the previous game where he set one up, great, but I’d love to let him score a goal. He’s been so close so many times,” Dorigo told .

TBR’s View:
If Roberts can become better with his decision-making around the box, then he’s got potential to be a top Leeds player.
It seems likely that he’ll drop down to the bench moving forward when Rodrigo Moreno is back to full fitness, but he can be really encouraged by the past month.
He’s shown that he can add value to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad, and it’s worth noting he’s only 22 still learning his trade.
