Tony Dorigo and Jermaine Beckford react to Leeds win over Manchester City
Leeds United recorded a superb win away to Manchester City on the weekend, which prompted an excited response from two ex-Whites players Tony Dorigo and Jermaine Beckford.
Despite playing the entire second half with 10 men, Leeds showed their extreme resilience to grind out a 2-1 victory in the Premier League.
Stuart Dallas scored an opener with a shot that rebounded in off the post, but the straight red card that was shown to captain Liam Cooper just before half time was a real dent for the visitors.
League leaders Man City equalised through Ferran Torres as they started to make their extra man count.
However, there was a late sting in the tale when match-winner Dallas netted his second in the 91st minute with a shot through the legs of goalkeeper Ederson.
The result lifted the Yorkshire club into the top half of the table to emphasis what a superb year they are having.
We’ve only gone and done it! Tremendous effort from the lads for a monumental win at the Etihad! Performance of the season….so far 😉

TBR’s View:
Leeds have been one of the best teams to watch in the Premier League this season, but they got to show a different side to their game on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s in-game management was superb as he got the best from his 10 men on the pitch. The fact though they had the bravery late on to still push for a winner whenever in possession shows the kind of team they are.
They are now in a position where they can enjoy their final seven games of the season.
