Tony Cascarino lauds Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum
Tony Cascarino has told that Gini Wijnaldum will be hard for Liverpool to replace in the summer.
The midfielder is out of contract and will leave Anfield in the next couple of weeks. He is expected to sign for either Barcelona or Bayern Munich.
Wijnaldum has played in every Premier League game this season, avoiding injury when others haven’t been quite so fortunate.

He has been a loyal servant to Liverpool, winning the Premier League and Champions League during his five years at the club.
In total he’s made 237 appearances for the club and Cascarino thinks he will be a tough act to follow.
“It was a sad day for Liverpool fans to see Gini Wijnaldum depart.
“We know he’s going to go to a big club in Europe, and it’s likely to be Barcelona, but it’s hard to hold a grudge because he hasn’t shirked a challenge all season. No hint of half an eye on a move, he’s been an incredible servant.
“Wijnaldum will be a tough man to replace. He’s been Liverpool’s best player this season.
His consistency over the course of it has been exceptional – he’s played in all 38 league games, an ever-present while those around him been injured or out of favour.”
TBR View: Klopp must get replacement for Wijnaldum spot on
Many supporters have earmarked Curtis Jones as the man to step up and replace the 30-year-old on a regular basis.
It’s probably wise for Jurgen Klopp to pursue another midfielder though, avoiding a similar situation happening next season.

Liverpool’s title defence has been dogged by injury problems and if a midfielder isn’t signed they could be left short.
Wijnaldum has been a tremendous player for the Reds over the years – and Klopp must now ensure the next chapter is equally fruitful.
