Tonight is huge for Liverpool star Divock Origi as winter window approaches
Liverpool take on Midtjylland in their final Champions League group stage match tonight, and the occasion is potentially huge for one Reds star.
It may be ‘dead rubber’ in terms of Liverpool having already sealed their progression to the last 16 as group winners, but it’s a big chance for some fringe players to show what they’re about.
The game is a particularly deal for Divock Origi, who has hardly been seen in 2020/21.

The Belgian forward has made just five appearances across all competitions for a total of 241 minutes of actual pitch time, and there have been times where he hasn’t even made the bench.
As someone who’s been at the club for a while now, one gets the feeling that he could be in danger of being moved on if he doesn’t make an impression soon.
Liverpool fans love the 25-year-old for the contributions he made in their Champions League run in 2018/19, and have enjoyed his goals in the past against rivals Everton.
But there are question marks about Origi’s consistency, and whether he has enough quality to cover Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
TBR’s View – Origi on borrowed time?
Origi needs a statement performance tonight against Midtjylland if he wants to boost his chances of staying at the club.

He should start, and if he fails to produce against the Danish side when the pressure is off then will be serious questions about whether he has a role to play in the remainder of the Reds’ season.
This term, Anfield has seen the emergence of the likes of Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones, whose performances have undoubtedly cranked up the pressure on Origi.
If the £10 million star () wants to see out the season, a strong showing against Midtjylland may be paramount.
