Toby Alderweireld that he knows that Mauricio Pochettino still loves Tottenham Hotspur to this day following his 2019 departure.

Pochettino will be remembered as Spurs’ best manager to date in the Premier League era.
He turned the club into title-contenders in the top-flight. Meanwhile, they also managed to reach the Champions League final in 2019.
He navigated the club through difficult spells. Of course, they moved out of White Hart Lane, spent some time at Wembley and moved into their new home under his leadership.
Unfortunately, Pochettino was dismissed almost two years ago. It came just a few months after the Champions League final.
He has since taken charge of Paris Saint-Germain. But there have been times when it has appeared that a return to Tottenham may not be out of the question.

Of course, no return would take place. And that may have come as a surprise to Alderweireld. The Belgian defender outlined what the Argentinian thinks about Tottenham these days.
“I know for sure he loves Spurs, even to this day, and to achieve it [winning the Champions League] with the club at the time would have been maybe the biggest achievement ever in Spurs’ history. So it’s logical. He needed time to refresh himself and get the desire to go again,” .

Nuno Espirito Santo is currently under a lot of pressure after three straight defeats in the Premier League, with nine goals conceded in that run.
One factor Spurs must keep in mind when debating Nuno’s future is the problems they had before his appointment.
If anything, it will be harder to search now given that the season is in full flow.
But should Tottenham get wind that a Pochettino return is a possibility in the coming months, Nuno could find himself in trouble.
There seems a sense amongst Spurs fans that there is unfinished business for Pochettino at Tottenham.
And judging by Alderweireld’s comments, Pochettino may have a similar feeling.
