Toby Alderweireld and Michel Vorm react as 22-year-old posts on Instagram after Tottenham loan exit
Alfie Whiteman has posted on Instagram after completing a season-long loan move to Degerfors IF – leaving Tottenham for Sweden. The goalkeeper has departed despite the exit of Joe Hart. Alderweireld and Vorm have sent messages to Whiteman on Instagram, after leaving Tottenham on loan.
Whiteman, 22, has only played once for Tottenham’s first team competitively – coming on as a sub against Ludogorets last season. But the England Under-19 international has been unable to break into the senior side. Now, he has gone on loan in a bid to get some regular football.
He joins newly promoted Swedish side Degerfors on loan until the end of the season. Whiteman will be tasked with helping Degerfors staying in the top tier, and it could tempt other clubs to consider a move for him next summer. .

It is slightly surprising, given Whiteman was likely to be installed as third-choice goalkeeper for the first time in his career. Last season, he was behind Hart, Paulo Gazzaniga and Hugo Lloris. Before, the presence of Vorm has kept Whiteman in the Under-23 team as fourth choice.
Now, he had the chance to step up and with Spurs in the Europa Conference League – he might have got regular game time under Nuno Espirito Santo. Alderweireld and Vorm have both reacted to Whiteman and his post on Instagram after completing a loan move. Others also replied.
