TNT pundit so impressed by ‘special’ 26-year-old Arsenal player against Nottingham Forest
Lucy Ward has lauded Gabriel Jesus during the early stages of the second-half as Arsenal took on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday.
Gabriel Jesus had two golden chances to score in the first 15 minutes after the break against Forest. Arsenal were dominant during the firs♛t-half, but failed to really test Matt T🎃urner.
Jesus should have arguably forced Turner 🐠to pick the ball out of his net 🔜in the early stages after the interval. The Arsenal striker hit the post after some superb work on the edge of the box from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
Gabriel Jesus praised during Arsenal win
And he then endured a moment which perhaps sums up his time at Arsenal so far. Jesus did amazingly well to create a chance for himself, lifting the ball over his head and past the Forest defenders. However, when the time came to have a strike at goal, Jesus snatched at the op🐓portunity and sent it flying into the stands.

Speaking on (broadcast on 30/1; 20:46), Lucy Ward lauded Jesus for 𒉰everything he does✱ up until the crucial moment.
“I tell you what, there’s a special player, Jesus. We talk about everything he does in the build-up and what he brings to Arsenal. Had he finished one of those two chances, it just gives ꦗArsenal that breathing spac෴e,” she said.
Striker did go on to produce the quality Gunners needed
Jesus went on to play a pivotal role in both of the🔥 goals Arsenal would subsequently score. The 26-year-old’s strike shortly after the miss seemed to be t🌸urned into Turner’s own net by the former Gunners goalkeeper.
And Jesus would provide the assist for Bukayo Saka shortly afte🦩r as Mikel Arteta’s side doubled their le꧙ad.
Jesus has had to deal with a lot of doubters th🍸is season. And it has to be said that his goals tally is not good enough for a player o🔯f his ability.
B🌺ut that ability was abundantly clear during the second-half at the City Ground. And if Arsenal are going to go on and win the title this season, they are going to need Jesus to step up a lot🀅 more.
