Timo Werner has already been really impressed by Tottenham man
Timo Werner has been really impressed by one Tottenham Hotspur man as the German prepares to make his debut for the club in the near future.
Timo Werner became Spurs’ first signing of the January transfer window. Before the links emerged, few would have ever imagined that the 27-year-old would end up moving to North London this month.
Werner, of course, had a difficult time at Chelsea before returning to RB Leipzig. So you would imagine that he had major reservations about returning to the Premier League.
Timo Werner was really impressed by Ange Postecoglou before Tottenham move
But it seems that the prospect of working with Ange Postecoglou has captured the forward’s imagination.

According to , Werner has been really impressed by what Postecoglou has told him about his role and the way Spurs will play with him in the team.
Risk-free move for Spurs – until time comes to discuss permanent deal
There does not appear to be much of a downside to this deal for Tottenham at all. Yes, Werner will feel that he has a point to prove after things did not go well with Chelsea. But Spurs have initially brought him in on loan with an option to buy.
If the move does not work out, Tottenham have not committed to spending a significant fee on the attacker. And if it does work, Werner could be an exceptional signing.
He can play in a number of roles across the forward line. So he could help fill the void Heung-min Son has left while he is on international duty. But he could also go up front if Richarlison’s form goes off the boil again.
And given what Postecoglou has got out of Guglielmo Vicario, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie and several others, there will be real optimism that Spurs may get something like the best from Werner over the coming months.
The difficult decision if he does look bright will come when they weigh up whether to make his move permanent in the summer.
