Tim Sherwood shares who he thinks will finish fourth… Tottenham or Aston Villa
Tottenham and Aston Villa are seemingly doing all they can to not finish fourth this season.
Indeed, this past weekend was a great chance for both teams to take control of the race for the Champions League places, but both faltered.
Tottenham were battered 3-0 by Fulham on Saturday, while Villa followed that up with a 1-1 draw against West Ham in unconvincing fashion.
There is a race for fourth on, but neither team seems to be keen to take the initiative and kick on from here.
Speaking on , Tim Sherwood has been discussing the race for fourth, and he says that he still fancies Tottenham to grasp this spot.
Tim Sherwood fancies Tottenham to finish fourth
Sherwood spoke about the north London club.
“If you ask Tottenham about finishing fourth in the league it’s like Man City winning the league it’s that good from where they’ve been,” Sherwood said.
“We’ve seen managers there like Conte, Nuno and Jose, they put 10 men behind the ball and fans are leaving with 10 minutes to go. You have to put it down as a bad day at the office, I still put them down as the favourites for the top four, they have some tough games, but so do Aston Villa.”
Difficult
Tottenham are in a decent position to go on and finish fourth, but they can’t afford anymore slip-ups like they had at the weekend.
Indeed, with tough games against Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Newcastle coming up, Spurs need to be almost perfect in all of their other so-called ‘winnable’ matches.
The loss against Fulham this weekend was a blip, but Villa’s draw against West Ham has kept them within touching distance, and now, they need to find a way to dust themselves down and rediscover their best form in the coming weeks.
Tottenham need to improve, that’s for sure.
