Tim Sherwood says Tottenham 23-year-old is the ‘most underrated player’ in the Premier League
Tim Sherwood has heaped praise on Dejan Kulusevski and has named the Tottenham Hotspur attacker as the most underrated player in the Premier League.
Spurs picked up a good win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last night. Richarlison scored the opener, but Kulusevski was the star of the show for Tottenham. Sherwood was hugely impressed.
Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski is the most underrated player in the Premier League
Dejan Kulusevski has been at Tottenham for almost two years now, and he is a fantastic player.
The Swede has been a fan favourite at Spurs since he joined the club. He was magnificent under Antonio Conte and he has gone up a level now with Ange Postecoglou at the helm.
One of the criticisms about Kulusevski was that he doesn’t score enough goals for Tottenham. The 23-year-old has addressed that, and he is finding the net regularly now.
Speaking about Kulusevski after his goal and assist last night, Tim Sherwood branded him as the most underrated player in the entire Premier League.
He said on : “He can play anywhere. He’s so fluid in his movement. His ability in tight areas is second to none.
“He can play one-two touch, he can dribble, he can play it on his left side as you saw with the cross, you saw the right foot when he smashed it past Turner in the Nottingham Forest goal.
“The boy has everything. He is the most underrated player, in my opinion, one of the most underrated players in the Premier League. He’s top, top class!”
Dejan Kulusevski is one of Tottenham’s best players
Everybody knows Dejan Kulusevski is a magnificent player, but he was overshadowed a bit by Heung-min Son and Harry Kane until the summer.
James Maddison has also been more popular than the Swede since his arrival this season.
However, Kulusevski is a top player and deserves immense credit for his performances. He is always a joy to watch on the pitch, and in an attacking system under Ange Postecoglou, he is thriving.
Kulusevski is definitely one of Tottenham’s best players, and the fact that he is still only 23 means he will only get better in the coming years.
