Tim Sherwood says 44-year-old manager would be better than Erik ten Hag for Manchester United
Erik Ten Hag continues to come under pressure at Manchester United.
The Red Devils sit seventh in the league on a negative goal difference, and after being eliminated from the Champions League, questions are being asked of the manager.
Speaking on , Tim Sherwood has been discussing Ten Hag’s position at Old Trafford, and he maintains that he’s not the man for the job.
Sherwood was almost disgusted by Ten Hag’s negative approach against Liverpool this week, and he says that someone like Roberto De Zerbi would never play in that sort of way if he was the manager of United.

De Zerbi would be better than Ten Hag
Sherwood shared his verdict on the two managers.
“There won’t be a different approach will there? We know that. I find it hard to watch Man United at the moment because I want them to be great again, at the moment they’re scared. In the Champions League, Bayern Munich were in second gear and they were scared to come out.
“I don’t believe, on what I have seen this season, Ten Hag is the right man to take them forward. We’re not talking about poor players here. De Zerbi is a good example for me, if he was the Man United manager he would never go there with that approach, he takes his Brighton side anywhere in the Premier League and he gives them the confidence to go toe-to-toe with whoever they play.”
Fearless
De Zerbi is a manager who is never scared of a challenge, and that’s what United need from their manager.
The Red Devils should never go into a game hoping for a draw – they’re the biggest club in the world for goodness sake.
Ten Hag is way too negative, and the fans are getting fed up of it.
Getting De Zerbi out of Brighton wouldn’t be easy, but this would surely be an upgrade if United were to go and appoint the Italian to replace Ten Hag.
