Tim Sherwood picks the manager he would have at Tottenham Hotspur

that he would pick Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa to replace Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur – but questioned the relationship he would have with Daniel Levy.

Ryan Mason earned victory in his first match as interim manager since taking over from Mourinho, coming from behind to beat Southampton on Wednesday night. But the chances of 29-year-old Mason getting the job are small.

Indeed, a replacement is expected this summer. Julian Nagelsmann, Brendan Rodgers, Eddie Howe, Marcelino, Roberto Martinez and plenty more have been linked. But Sherwood, an ex-Spurs boss himself, wants someone else.

Discussing the Tottenham managerial situation, Sherwood has stated that he would pick £115k-a-week () Bielsa – who is out of contract in the summer. He thinks he would be loved at Spurs, but questioned a relationship with Levy.

“I would pick Bielsa. I would go for him. He is a big manager, everyone would love him at the football club – not sure Daniel Levy would. Daniel likes communication, I’m not sure they would communicate too well,”

TBR’s view – Bielsa would be a stunning appointment for Spurs

If the Tottenham players bought into Bielsa’s relentless demands on his players. The Leeds players were forced to lose lots of weight on his arrival and every day for three years, Leeds players are forced to track their weight.

Murderball sessions, players sleeping at the club so they can do double sessions and more examples are proof that Bielsa demands more than most managers. Would the likes of Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and others adhere to that?

The reason he has thrived at Leeds is because he has taken players that were willing to do anything to reach the top level. Spurs are already top level without doing it Bielsa’s way. Plus, he has already stated he wants to stay at Leeds.
