Tim Sherwood identifies three Tottenham players that could play for any PL club

of Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Wolves as saying that three Spurs players could play for any club in the Premier League – with Harry Kane the obvious inclusion in that trio of players.

The race for the Premier League golden boot continues to hot up as both Kane and Mo Salah scored on Sunday, with Salah equalising before Alisson scored a sensational header to beat West Brom 2-1. He now has 22 league goals.

Kane netted his 32nd of the season – 22 of which have come in the league – as Spurs took a huge step towards Europa League qualification. The England skipper has probably enjoyed his best personal season, with 48 goal involvements.

Sitting in sixth, they are five behind fourth-placed Chelsea with two games to play – so a place in the Europa League looks more likely. Sherwood reckons Kane and two his teammates could play for any club in the Premier League.

“When you’ve got Kane, Son, Gareth Bale – world-class players who could play for any team in the Premier League – then you’ve obviously got a chance. The best players won the game,” Spurs-supporting Sherwood said.

TBR’s view – Bale could play for any club, but will he be in the PL?

It is an intriguing situation unravelling, behind the curtain of the next Tottenham manager. Indeed, Bale is probably one of numerous Tottenham players that is waiting to see Tottenham’s next appointment before making a decision.

Toby Alderweireld, Serge Aurier, Hugo Lloris, Erik Lamela and even Kane could be considering their options this summer but will wait to see who Spurs appoint before making a decision. Ryan Mason now has three wins in four.

Bale could play for any club, clearly he is a superstar capable of magic. But he might not even be in the Premier League next season, with 12 months remaining on his Real Madrid contract.
