Tim Sherwood hammers ‘poor’ Liverpool duo in Chelsea defeat
Former Premier League boss Tim Sherwood has hammered Liverpool’s defending during their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League last night.
Mason Mount scored the only goal of the game and the ex-Tottenham boss told afterwards that Ozan Kabak and the Fabinho should have done better.
It’s now five home defeats on the spin for the reigning champions with their title defence turning into a complete and utter disaster.

Fabinho returned to the side after missing the last few games with an injury, partnering the Turkish defender at centre-back.
Sherwood couldn’t believe his eye at how Liverpool chose to defend against Chelsea.
“The high line of Liverpool is far too high. The defending is so poor. Everyone knows Mason Mount wants to come onto his right foot.
“Why on earth they are standing so high I do not know. You don’t defend that high against Timo Werner, you have to drop. He’s always a threat in behind.
“Kabak and Fabinho must know, Timo Werner what’s his strengths? Pace in behind. So drop 10 yards. If it’s Giroud, keep higher up the line.
“They’ve got to take that upon themselves on the pitch.”
TBR View: Liverpool have to stop feeling sorry for themselves
Klopp’s side that roared to Premier League glory last year look timid right now and something has to change.
Whether the high-intensity style of play has caught up with some of the team remains to be seen but the body language of the team is abysmal.

Okay, they’ve had injuries but in a jam-packed schedule, they aren’t the only side to suffer from such concerns.
Virgil van Dijk has been injured for months and it feels as though the Reds have felt sorry for themselves ever since that moment at Everton.
The club faces a real challenge to reach the top four now and Klopp must get his player’s firing once again.
