Tim Sherwood hammers Leeds star Junior Firpo for display against Liverpool
of Leeds United’s defeat to Liverpool that Junior Firpo will wish he never got out of bed.
Leeds were easily beaten by Jurgen Klopp’s side, with the Reds winning 3-0. Mo Salah, Fabinho and Sadio Mane all found the back of the net.
Firpo clocked up his fourth appearance for Leeds in all competitions, his third in the Premier League since joining the club from Barcelona.
But it has not been the best start for Firpo. Leeds have already conceded 11 goals in four Premier League games, picking up just two points in that time.

Speaking after the 3-0 loss to Liverpool, ex-Tottenham gaffer Sherwood tore into Firpo. He questioned the left-back’s display against Mo Salah.
“Firpo’s debut, well he can turn back the clock. He had a terrible time, he will wish he never got out of bed today, Firpo,” port.
“They gave him a torrid time that down Liverpool’s right. Salah lured him in. Firpo had a bad game, he’s got to have better games than that, surely.”
Sherwood on Firpo: Should Leeds fans be worried by Sunday display?

Not straight away. But it is hardly the start Leeds fans thought a player that had signed from Barcelona might – and probably should – have made.
Firpo is a top player. He is a proven performer at Barcelona and at Champions League level, starring regularly for La Liga side Real Betis.
So, while he is struggling initially – Firpo is playing in a new league and has already missed one of four league games. He needs some momentum.
He needs time to settle and get used to the intensity of Marcelo Bielsa’s side. But the early signs are not hugely promising for Firpo.
