Three ways Tottenham have improved under Mauricio Pochettino this season
Spurs are unbeaten
Admittedly, this time last year the north London side had only been defeated once – in the first game of the season at Manchester United, but going eleven games without defeat this time around is indeed an improvement.
An odd similarity is that Spurs’ eleventh game last season was a 1-1 draw in the north London derby against Arsenal leaving the Lilywhites in 5th. The same occurred again this year, but crucially Spurs have got into winning ways earlier this season than last.
Last season Tottenham did not win their opening four league games, but this campaign they started with five wins in their first seven fixtures.
Now Pochettino’s side have an extra point to boast from the same number of games. By no means a huge gain, but with no defeats, and considering Spurs have started a winning mentality earlier in the season than last time out, this may pay dividends further down the line.
