Three transfer arrivals we could see at Liverpool in the summer

With Liverpool having been knocked out of the FA Cup and away on a mid-season training camp in Spain, Klopp has been speaking about his future plans.

In an interview with the , he revealed that the club are already working on their summer transfers, saying: “…we are on the way. At the end, I’m sure we will have a really good squad.”

It is clear that Klopp is keen to strengthen his Reds squad with new faces, but who could potentially arrive in Merseyside this summer? Here we look at three likely options…

Julian Brandt – Bayer Leverkusen

Jürgen Klopp is to be a big fan of the 20-year-old German winger, and the player, in many ways, fits the template of a typical Klopp signing; young, with raw talent and in possession of fine physical attributes as well as the technical skill to match.

Currently contracted to Bayer Leverkusen, who sit 8th in the Bundesliga table, there has been much speculation surrounding Brandt’s future at the club, with Liverpool one of the several clubs interested.

In 21 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, five from the bench, the player has scored two goals and contributed with a further six assists. Although not overly impressive stats, Klopp will know that with his coaching, and with more quality around him at Liverpool, Brandt’s attacking positioning and final product will improve.
