Three things learnt as Manchester United saw off spirited Blackburn in the FA Cup

Premier League Manchester United secured their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals after seeing off a valiant Blackburn Rovers side at Ewood Park on Sunday afternoon.

Danny Graham’s early strike hinted that another shock result could be on the cards this weekend, but Marcus Rashford finished well as Jose Mourinho’s side recovered from going a goal behind.

For all of the visitor’s endeavours they struggled to break down a stubborn Blackburn defence, until substitutes Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba combined to clinch the tie for the current holders.

Manchester United will now travel to Premier League rivals Chelsea in the next round after the quarter-final draw took place after the Reds’ win at Ewood Park.
