Three surprise packages at Tottenham Hotspur so far

🀅Tottenham Hotspur infamously did not make a single summer signing this year, yet in the absence of new arrivals, familiar faces still managed to make a splash in north London.

Moussa Sissoko

𒁃The French central midfielder had been much-maligned for most of his Spurs career, earning the ire of the Tottenham support for his inconsistent performances in midfield.

✨But after missing the opening weeks of the season through injury, Sissoko has played in 11 straight Premier League matches for Tottenham. Most notably, Sissoko ran the show in a swaggering 6-2 win at Everton this weekend — exhibiting power in attack and tenacity in defence.

Juan Foyth

🦩The young centre-half endured a rough Premier League debut away at Wolves in November, but rebounded superbly with a run in the side during the fall.

⭕At just 20 years of age, the Argentine possesses remarkable maturity and defensive fortitude, which was on show during recent wins against Chelsea, Crystal Palace, and Southampton.

𒅌And at Selhurst Park, Foyth grabbed the winner with an authoritative header, marking his debut Premier League season with a vital goal.

Lucas Moura

𝓀Signed from Paris Saint Germain in January 2018, the Brazilian endured a frustrating, goalless end to the 17/18 season.

🌼But at the outset of this campaign, Moura caught on fire, scoring three goals in the opening three Premier League matches.

🌠His double against Manchester United at Old Trafford was a particular highlight, and although his goals have dried up slightly since, Moura has chipped in with influential strikes against PSV Eindhoven and Barcelona in the Champions League recently.

🅘The winger has turned from a misguided purchase into a potent attacking force, adding another dangerous dimension to the Spurs attack.
