Three starts, one goal: Liverpool youngster must use Rangers loan to kick start career.
Rangers improved considerably during the 2018/19 campaign, with the club looking capable of becoming a force once again under Steven Gerrard.
The Light Blues failed to stop Celtic continue their dominance at the top of the Scottish Premiership, although the Hoops know their fierce rivals are on the way back.
Gerrard utilised his Liverpool connections to land Ryan Kent last season and he could be about to do that again.
that Sheyi Ojo will put pen-to-paper on a new five-year deal at Anfield before signing on loan at Rangers for the 2019/20 campaign.
A highly-rated 21-year-old, Ojo spent last season on loan in Ligue 1 with Reims where he endured a frustrating season. Although he featured 19 times he was handed just three starts and scored just one goal in the Coupe de la Ligue.

In signing a new long-term deal at Liverpool it indicates just how highly the Reds rate him. They see the Reims fiasco as a minor blip and clearly fancy him to forge a successful career still.
Confidence is key
The England Under-21 international has all the attributes to be a success. He is quick, can score goals and isn’t afraid to try and beat his marker. In recent years his confidence will have taken a hit, however, due to a lack of game time.
If Gerrard can hand him much-needed games, it is up to Ojo to show that he is capable of fulfilling his potential. Too often during his loan spells, he has failed to hold down a regular place in the team and he can’t happen at Rangers.

The desire to succeed could be a valuable asset for Ojo next season though and he might just show the Gers, and Liverpool, exactly what he is capable of doing.
Time is running out for the tricky winger to show people what he is capable of. The 2019/20 campaign must be the season where Ojo delivers the goods.
