Three signings Newcastle United could make on deadline day
Bradley Dack
Newcastle have lacked creativity in open play this season and that could be addressed by bringing in Bradley Dack from Gillingham. He was voted League 1 player of the season for his performances in the 2015/16 campaign and many expected him to step up to Championship this summer. Dack remains at Gillingham and scored the goal to knock Watford out of the EFL Cup last week, which showed that he could compete against superior opposition.
At the age of 22, Dack should be looking to move to a higher level and there has been interest from Championship clubs including Brighton. At the moment, Newcastle have a lot of options in their midfield, but could look to add one more, especially if Moussa Sissoko leaves on deadline day. If they do target Dack, he would be open to a move to a huge club like Newcastle and the fee wouldn’t be too high. The upside to signing Dack is his potential as he could develop alongside the club and become a crucial player under Rafa Benitez.
