Three Serie A clubs set to make January offer for ‘fantastic’ 18-year-old Celtic player

The story surrounding young Rocco Vata at Celtic is one that has caused a lot of discussion amongst the supporters.

Clearly talented, the 18-year-old winger has struggled to make an impact in the first team despite shining in the Lowland League and for the Republic of Ireland u21 side this season.

Vata is out of contract at the end of this season and despite Celtic not offering the ‘fantastic’ youngster a new deal, there are a host of clubs lining up to take a look at him.

TBR Celtic told last week how Inter Milan were the latest club looking at the Celtic B team star. That was off the back of reports suggesting that Frosinone and Torino scouted him earlier in the season.

Well, it seems that after all the rumours there are now three Serie A sides looking to fight for the youngster.

According to , three clubs in Frosinone, Torino and Sampdoria are now set to take their interest further in the 18-year-old and are set to do battle for his signature in January.

Whether that means making an offer to Celtic or they will try to outdo each other with a better financial package to tempt him to sign with them remains unclear.

But what is completely clear is that Vata is certain to leave Celtic in the summer. With no offer on the table and the youngster clearly having no intentions of staying at the club, January may well be the time for Celtic to cash in and try to get some financial reward for their efforts in developing him.

And despite being a player who is highly regarded, it does seem like Celtic are happy to allow him to move on.
