Three possible solutions to Liverpool’s left-back conundrum
Much of the tail end of last season was spent by Liverpool fans discussing the future of Alberto Moreno in a Jurgen Klopp Liverpool side. For as good as he is going forwards, Moreno is prone to lapses in concentration and what can only be likened to short term memory loss which made him forget all of his defensive duties.
With Klopp known for building sides from the back, first ensuring that his teams are defensively strong, and given the frailty of the current Liverpool defence, reinforcements at left back were a top priority this summer.
With central defence shored up by the arrivals of Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan, the latter of whom can also provide cover at left back if necessary, Liverpool’s attentions will turn to their vulnerable full back position. We’ll look at three of the men who could be their top targets.
