Three players who could leave Liverpool before today’s deadline including Harry Wilson

The transfer window will finally shut completely this evening, after being left slightly ajar for Premier League clubs to do business with those in the Football League.

For Liverpool, it looks unlikely that will mean any incomings, with rumors of a move for Jack Butland seemingly unfounded.

However, there are some players that might be on their way out of the club before the end of the day.

It seems that Harry Wilson is on his way to Cardiff City. A move to Swansea City has fallen through with the teams failing to come to an agreement over a fee. Nottingham Forest and Derby County have also been linked but, , the Bluebirds are now leading the chase for the Welsh winger.

Nathaniel Phillips spent last season on loan at VfB Stuttgart and the 23-year-old will need to head out on loan again this term for regular football.

has suggested there are four clubs in the Championship chasing the player, Bristol City, Nottingham Forest, Reading and Swansea.

The club’s former great hope, Welsh international Ben Woodburn, spent last term on loan at Oxford United but saw a deal to Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam fail to materialise earlier this month.

Hull City and Charlton Athletic have been linked and an exit seems likely.

Another player Liverpool would have liked to get out on loan is Irish goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher. However, with the apparent deal for Butland not happening, it would be a shock if Liverpool allowed their third-choice stopper to leave.

So it seems that three players, Wilson, Phillips and Woodburn could be on their way out of Liverpool before the end of the day.
