Three players unlikely to have a West Ham future beyond January
After an inconsistent start to the season, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini may feel that he has work to do in January and that would undoubtedly begin with shipping out some of the club’s deadwood.
A number of players have barely featured for the Irons under their Chilean manager and David Gold and David Sullivan may wish to cash in so that they can top up the transfer budget.
Andy Carroll
It wouldn’t be a West Ham transfer window without speculation that the club may finally get rid of 29-year-old Andy Carroll. This season, he has made five appearances since returning from an ankle injury, though he is yet to score, but may still end up out of the door.
With his contract set to expire in the summer, selling him in January may be the only surefire way that the club can guarantee that they recoup some of the fee that they paid for him in 2013.
Reece Oxford
Pellegrini has made no secret of the fact that Oxford’s days at the London Stadium could be numbered and the 20-year-old’s inconsistent form for the club’s under 23s is unlikely to have swayed the Chilean’s mind.
claimed that he would have been available for £10 million in the summer but no suitors came forth. Dropping that price tag may be necessary in order to shift a player who was once very highly thought of in east London.

Having made just one Premier League start heading into the festive fixture list, it’s clear that the Spaniard’s loan move from Arsenal has not worked out. Out of favour in a shallow front line and with youngsters like Grady Diangana preferred out wide, it could be in all parties’ interests to end his loan early.
In his 10 performances to date, he has played in four different positions and it’s clear that Pellegrini simply does not know what to do with him. Sending him back to the Emirates may be the best option, allowing the club to reinvest elsewhere.
