Three players that Tottenham should target during the January transfer window

Felipe Anderson

After finding his form again at Lazio, Felipe Anderson will become an option for the big clubs once again and Tottenham could do a lot worse than trying to sign the 23-year-old. He is still young and has time to become the player that we all thought he would be.

This season, he has contributed two goals and seven assists, which is a good return considering he isn’t playing for one of the bigger clubs in Serie A. He is a good dribbler and would add much needed dynamism to Tottenham’s front-line.

Anderson is capable of influencing the game with his vision and passing, while he can also threaten from distance with a powerful strike. The Brazilian has an impressive work rate and does his bit for the team defensively, which will make him an attractive option for Pochettino.

Tottenham have desperately missed Erik Lamela this season and don’t have another dynamic player like him that is capable of beating opposition players and creating a moment of magic out of nothing.

Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen are both good players, but neither are great at influencing the game from wide positions. They have become too reliant on the full backs and Harry Kane, which is a major problem for Pochettino.

Anderson would be a great addition and add invention to the side’s front line. It would be interesting to see what fee he would be available for considering his upturn in form, but he would tick a lot of boxes for Tottenham.
