Three players Southampton should target during the January transfer window

Southampton have some decent options in attacking midfield, with the likes of Nathan Redmond, Sofiane Boufal and Dusan Tadic in the squad, but that hasn’t stopped the club being linked with a move for 21-year-old Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien.

The attacking talent has scored five goals for the surprise table toppers this season, and would certainly bring an extra dynamic to the Saints attack. So far this season, Redmond and Boufal have only managed four goals between them, so if Cyprien could replicate his form goals would certainly be added to the team.

The Guadeloupe born player joined Nice from Lens just after Southampton recruited Puel from the same club. It is unlikely the Ligue 1 leaders will sell, but with Atletico Madrid reportedly sniffing around, January might be a good time to make a move for this talented attacking midfielder.
