Three players Everton have held talks over signing outside of Carlos Alcaraz before the transfer deadline
TBR Football understands that Everton are continuing talks with Chelsea hoping to take Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or Carney Chukwuemeka.
The Toffees are keen to send back Armando Broja and replace him with another one of Chelsea’s players who they are looking to offload.
Broja is injured but due to the terms of his loan Everton just can’t send him back, however, they are hoping the West London club allow him to return if they take another player.
David Moyes is keen to bolster his midfield options with Argentine midfielder Carlos Alcaraz another possible target for them.
Everton in talks to sign three Chelsea players
Everton have also spoken to Chelsea about Ben Chilwell, but a midfielder is proving more important for them at this point, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
Chelsea have told Dewsbury-Hall and Chukwuemeka they can leave, although it remains to be seen if they will allow the former Leicester City man out.
But Chukwuemeka has been told he can go and has held talks with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, but Everton are keen to do a deal for him.
The Merseyside club were already in the market for a new midfielder before losing Orel Mangala to an ACL injury for several months.
TBR Football also understands that Everton made an approach for Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff this week, but he has underlined his decision to stay on Tyneside until the summer at least.
Everton could face competition for Ben Chilwell
TBR Football can reveal that Chelsea expect Ben Chilwell to leave with Crystal Palace having made contact, but there are other clubs also involved in the battle.
The Blues have left it to the defender to find his best option and are insisting he won’t be involved under Maresca.
A fourth player who could leave Stamford Bridge in the final days of the transfer window is Aaron Anselmino on loan.
Marseille are one of a handful of teams to show an interest in a player who the West London club have only just decided can leave.
