Three players Arsenal should sign on deadline day
As the transfer window draws to a dramatic conclusion, Arsenal remain quiet on the arri🌠val front. A poor start to the season, having lost two out of their three Premier League games, including a devastating 4-0 loss to Liverpool, has not resulted in any new additions to the Gunners’ squad.
Meanwhile, the futures of several current stars remain in do♎ubt, with Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all in the last year of their contracts and yet to negotiate an extension.
If Arsene Wenger was to keep all his stars, new additions may still be needed. With a little bit of time left to bring in fre🥀sh faces, who should Arsenal sign this deadline day?
Steven N’Zonzi
Arsenal’s weak midfield was exposed aꦆgainst Liverpool and the problems were glaringly obvious as they lost 4-0. Neither Granit Xhaka or Aaron Ramsey are defensively stable and, in the 5-2-2-1 formation, this leaves the defenders in all kinds of trouble.
Steven N’Zonzi is a player who could slot into the Arsenal midfield and offer genuine protection in front of a back three or four. Several seasons with Spanish outfit Sevilla has seen the ex-Stoke man develop into one of Euro🌳pe’s most physical and competent defensive midfielders.
With Premier League experience, Steven N’Zonzi could be the perfect midfielder for Wenger’s side and Arsenal have been linked this window, with th꧑e suggesting that the Frenchman wants to move away from Sevilla.
Raheem Sterling
There has been much ꦓtalk as of late regarding the transfer of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City, with Raheem Sterling used in the deal as a makeweight, only for to report that Arsenal had rejected the bid.
Whether o🐭r not the Chilean winger does exit the London club, the Gunners should be doing all they can to get Sterling to the Emirates. His pace would give Wenger’s side a different dimension and his direct running would fit well with Ozil’s incisive passing ability.
A young player, desperate to prove himself and win trophies, not to mention another English talent at the club, if Manchester City were to take Sanchez from them, getting Sterling in retu𝓡🀅rn would be good business.
Jonny Evans
Perhaps a defender many Arsenal fans feel is a downgrade on several of their current options and those they have been linked with thr🌺oughout the summer, but Jonny Evans could be a very clever signing by Wenger.
The ex-Manchester United man is a part of a very good West Brom side who managed an impressive 10th place finish last season. He is less expansive than the likes of Rob Holding aಌnd Shkodran Mustafi, but he makes defending his priority and he is a very solid an🌄d dependable player.
It i꧃s no wonder some top Premier League clubs, Arsenal, alongside Manchester City, are after the Northern Irishman, according to .
