Three players Arsenal must do everything to sign if they want to compete

Arsenal have been steadily falling from grace for the past decade. In fairness to them, there was a long way to fall. Arsenal were literally invincible for periods during the 00’s. However, all good things must come to an end. The Gunners have failed to qualify for the Champions League for two seasons in a row, a failure that seemed unimaginable during Arsene Wenger’s heyday.

Arsenal have to make some major signings in order to address some very pressing issues. Here are three players that could help transform the Gooners into contenders again:

Milan Skriniar – Centre Back – Inter Milan

Arsenal signing David Luiz is probably the most counterproductive move that we saw this transfer window.

Unai Emery sought to shore up a nervy defense with the most anxiety inducing centre back of the Premier League era. Milan Skriniar is being chased by Europe’s top clubs, . The Slovakian centre back would be the perfect man to instil some calmness into the Arsenal defence.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – Centre Midfield – Lazio

Arsenal need dynamic steel in the middle of the park. When they were at the peak of their powers, Patrick Vieira made mincemeat of opposition with his surging runs. Milinkovic-Savic may lack Vieira’s tackling ability but he does work had out of possession.

Granit Xhaka is not good enough for the Gunners. The towering, goal scoring Serbian midfielder would be perfect alongside Matteo Guendouzi and Dani Ceballos.

Suso – Winger / Attacking Mid – A.C Milan

The former Liverpool man has finally begun fulfilling his potential at A.C Milan. He would be the perfect signing for Arsenal’s dynamic, free flowing attack.

He can play on either wing or behind the striker and loves big games – in 2016 he scored both of AC’s goals in a . With a world-class winger available, Arsenal can stop rotating their number 9s out to the wing and make them compete for the central berth.
