Three changes Arsenal should make after the international break

Bring in a centre-forward to free Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez is one of the Premier League’s greatest talents and has lit up English football since arriving from Barcelona two summers ago.

However, he has endured a tricky start to the season, mainly thanks to Arsene Wenger playing the Chilean out of position. Sanchez is not a striker. He can play the role decently, as he is a good footballer, and he will still score goals in that position, but his strengths are not in holding the ball up with his back to goal, they are running at defenders and cutting inside with pace.

Olivier Giroud may not be the flavour of the month, but he can do this role for the team very well. New signing Lucas Perez also has more experience playing up front, and should be able to partake in hold up play should the ball be played along the ground.

Perez has the flexibility to float in and out of different positions with Sanchez, so might be a more exciting option, but the tried and tested Giroud is a safe bet also. Whoever plays, Arsenal need Sanchez back on the wing.
