Three Aston Villa players who’ve made sluggish starts and must step up
Aston Villa are back in the Premier League, and Dean Smith’s side have done OK so far on their return to the big time.
They currently sit 18th on three points, but have given a decent account of themselves in each of their games so far.

The transition from Championship to Premier League was always going to be tricky, especially with all the new faces in the squad.
Although there have been signs Villa’s team will soon begin to click, a few individuals could do with raising their games after the international break:
Wesley
The Brazilian striker has been getting to grips with the nature of the Premier League, and put in his best performance of the season against Everton in the club’s third league outing

That game yielded his only goal so far, and fans will be hoping to see the burly striker start finding the net on a more regular basis after the international break.
He’s started every game so far and should improve going forwards.
Trezeguet
Trezeguet is another new face at Villa who has been finding his feet, but there hasn’t been much offered so far from the Egyptian.

The 24-year-old has shown some glimpses but is yet to provide any goals or assists for his new club, and was sent off against Crystal Palace.
Like Wesley, he should have a feel for the Premier League now and once he is back from suspension then the talented winger who cost £8.75 million this summer () needs to raise his game.
Anwar El Ghazi
El Ghazi is yet to hit top gear for Villa after making a permanent move to the club this summer.

Having started the first two games, he was then left on the bench against Everton, although he did get himself on the scoresheet against the Toffees.
He was an unused substitute in the controversial defeat to Crystal Palace, so he will need to raise his game when the Premier League returns. With Trezeguet suspended, there’s a great opportunity against West Ham for him to stake his claim.
