Thomas Tuchel’s previous comments about Man United’s Mason Mount show he feels about him as he becomes England boss

It’s fair to say that Mason Mount’s story at Manchester United thus far has been a frustrating one, the midfielder was meant to be a key figure at Old Trafford.

Instead, Mount has only played for Man United 25 times as a result of a seꦓries of frustrating injuries.

First and foremost, Mount suffered from a calf issue which completely hal💫ted his progress under Erik ten Hag last season.

In truth, the England international was struggling to find his feet at the club even before his injuries, but they then temporarilඣy killed any chance he had to improve his form.

That being said, perhaps Tuchel’s appointment at England could inspire a turnaround for Mount who’s se♑t to return from injury again once United’s club games resume.

Mason Mount could revive his England career under Thomas Tuchel

Mount has 36 caps𒁃 and five goals for England, a total he’s not currently close to adding𒁃 to.

However, should the midfielder imprꩵove at United, it would seem that Tuchel would be very keen to return the 25-year-old to the England fold.

Spe✤aking back in 2021 when the pair were at Chelsea together, Tuchel was incredibly complimentary about Mo💞unt, saying he had a brilliant attitude to succeed.

Tuchel said: “He has the full package. Mentally, in terms of talent and physically and the most important part is his character, he has his feet on the💜 ground and he’s a nice guy.

“He comes to♚ Cobham every day to learn something new and have new♕ experiences.

“It’s a pleasure to have him, be at his side and guide him and support him. It’s impressive, he’s not affected by all🌠 the praise. 🔜This is maybe the most important part.

“He seems to be a guy who likes the sport and feels an obligation to make the most out of it and he wants it absolutely bad🦩ly, so it’s a top mix.”

Marcus Rashford also out to impress Thomas Tuchel

Of courseဣ, it’s not just Mount at Old Trafford who will be hoping to impress the new England boss.

Marcus Rashford may⛎ al🔯so be hoping that a change in management revives his chances of playing for his country.

Rashford has shown glimpses of imp♓rovement in recent months, a player who still has so much potential to improve.

Incidentally, Tuchel also praised Rashford back in 2020, sayin🌱g he was a tremendous person before then ꦡcomplimenting his footballing ability too.

Tuchel said: “For me personally, the sporting side is clear – he’s a big threat with his speed, with his ability to score, with his determination and his finishing. He’s very pr♈ecise, taking shots inside and outside of the box.

“He is super rapid on counter-attacks and strong in the air with headers. He’s had a big impact and it’s nice to see guys like him from the academy having such a big impact in a 𒁃big, big club like United.”
