Thomas Frank thinks Christian Norgaard could replace Fabinho at Liverpool
Liverpool fans know all about the quality that Brazilian midfielder Fabinho brings to the table, but Thomas Frank believes Brentford’s Christian Norgaard could do a similar job.
Norgaard, who starred for Denmark in the Euros, has emerged as a key player for the Bees this season in their impressive Premier League debut.
The Danish midfielder joined Brentford for less than £3m but has proved to be an absolute steal since his arrival. He comes up against Liverpool this weekend knowing he has his work cut out against a top side.

But his manager, Thomas Frank, has paid Norgaard the ultimate compliment by drawing comparison to Reds star, Fabinho.
“I think Christian is a late bloomer. And I’m very, very pleased that he’s playing for Brentford,” Frank said, via the .
“Because I think if you took him out and put him into Liverpool, and changed the two players, Fabinho and him, I don’t think you’d see much difference.”
TBR’s View: Nice words from Frank, but Fabinho a class above
Norgaard is a good midfielder in his own right but he has some way to go to be on the level of Fabinho. The Brazilian is one of the best in the world and has proven it over a number of years.
Of course, it’s always nice for your manager to back you. And Frank has done that here. Norgaard, then, will want to show his boss isn’t talking rubbish this weekend.
Liverpool did pay £39m though for Fabinho. So for 10% of the price, Brentford can firmly they say they’ve done pretty well.
