‘This is huge’: Some Arsenal fans excited after ‘interesting’ rumour emerges

Some Arsenal fans have been left excited after Gabriel Marcotti suggested Antonio Conte would be willing to take the job at the Emirates Stadium under the right conditions.

Conte to Arsenal?

Conte’s representatives have apparently made initial contact with Arsenal, and have indicated that he would consider the job if it was to become available.

Bring him in now. A no brainer surely but if it makes sence arsenal will not do it!

Arteta under pressure

The suggestion that Conte could potentially take the job, just adds to the pressure which is building on Arteta.

Arsenal have made an awful start to the season – after losing their first three games without even scoring.

The Gunners are next in action against newly promoted Norwich City, and another defeat would be a huge disaster.

If Arsenal were to swap Arteta for Conte it would be a sizeable change of approach.

Conte is a proven winner, but generally does so with more experienced heads – and his style may not actually be ideally suited to Arsenal’s current squad, which contains plenty of young talent.
