‘This is character,’ ‘my boys’: Some Arsenal fans react to 27-second clip of Saliba and Guendouzi

Arsenal loanees William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi started for Marseille in their Europa League game against Galatasaray last night.
The two Frenchmen have had their problems with Mikel Arteta at the Emirates. Saliba has not been given an opportunity yet by the Arsenal boss, while Guendouzi was banished from the side for indiscipline.
Both players joined Marseille on loan in the summer and they’ve become regulars there. They featured in the Europa League last night and the pair was involved in an altercation with former West Brom striker Mbaye Diagne.
What did Saliba and Guendouzi do?
In the 94th minute of the game, Diagne chased a long ball down the line. Saliba effortlessly blocked him off and let the ball bounce out of play.
Both players went at it right after and held each other’s necks. Just when it seemed like they’d start swinging at each other, their teammates rushed in to separate them.
Guendouzi was one of the players who came in and in typical Guendouzi style, he wanted a piece of the action.
A 27-second clip posted on Twitter shows the midfielder having a go at a Galatasaray player long after Saliba and Diagne were separated.
This is one of the reasons why Arteta didn’t fancy Guendouzi anymore. The Frenchman’s altercation with Neal Maupay proved to be the last straw, and he was pushed out of the side immediately after.
The video now shows that he hasn’t changed one bit.
Arsenal fans have had their say on the clip and many of them really liked the ‘character’ the two French boys showed. Here’s how a few of them reacted on Twitter…
