‘This guy is a superstar’… Jamie Carragher amazed by 21-year-old player linked with Arsenal transfer
Jamie Carragher has now been discussing a defender who’s often being linked with a move to Arsenal in the coming summer.
Despite the progress Mikel Arteta’s side have made again this season there’s reason to believe that heavy investment will be made in the off-season.

Much akin to the signing of Declan Rice last summer, Arsenal are expected to sign one or two players who can transform their starting eleven.
Perhaps a striker will arrive, with Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen two names linked with the club in the past.
However, Arsenal also look as if they need strengthening in a couple of other areas too.
A midfielder would be needed should Thomas Partey leave, and a centre-back needs to come in regardless.
And with that in mind, Jamie Carragher was discussing the ability and potential of one player said to be of interest to Arsenal on last night.
Carragher was discussing the level Jarrad Branthwaite has already reached at Everton, a player linked to Arsenal this summer.
Jamie Carragher absolutely loves Arsenal linked defender Jarrad Branthwaite
Carragher, who knows a thing or two about a Merseyside centre-back, thought Branthwaite was already showing composure beyond his years.
And the pundit also pointed out how the 21-year-old is succeeding at set-pieces, which may also catch the eye of Arsenal.

Carragher said: “This guy is a superstar.
“For a centre-back to control that with his right foot, he is a two footed player, the control with the right foot being a delicate touch with players around him and then to finish with the left just highlights again how strong Everton are from set pieces.”
The pundit was discussing the goal Branthwaite scored against Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend, a finish Gabriel Jesus would be proud of.
It remains to be seen just how interested Arsenal are in the defender, but Jamie Carragher for one would definitely be able to understand why he’s been linked.
And in truth, Branthwaite would really compliment Arsenal’s back line, helping to remove the peril attached to any potential William Saliba injury.
All that being said, Ally McCoist has now suggested that Arsenal have two players who are more important than Bukayo Saka.
