Thierry Henry shocked after hearing what Jermain Defoe said about Tottenham and Arsenal

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry couldn’t believe what he was hearing when Tottenham Hotspur hero Jermain Defoe revealed his Premier League top-four prediction.

It was a bad night for the two North London clubs yesterday. Arsenal lost to West Ham at home, while Tottenham got battered by Brighton and Hove Albion. Defoe, however, still has a lot of faith in his old side, so much so that his prediction really surprised Henry.

Thierry Henry shocked by Jermain Defoe’s Arsenal and Tottenham prediction

Arsenal and Tottenham have both had a decent season so far.

Yes, both clubs would want to be higher in the Premier League table, but they can’t be too upset about things – apart from last night’s results, of course.

The two North London sides, at the moment, are competing for different things. Arsenal are in a title race along with Liverpool and Manchester City, while Tottenham will be happy with a top-four finish.

That’s probably why Thierry Henry was shocked when Jermain Defoe said Spurs would finish above Arsenal in his top-four prediction for this season.

When Defoe was asked to predict his top-four, he said on : “City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal.”

A baffled Henry replied: “What? What did you say? Tottenham?”

With a smile on his face, Defoe replied: “Why not?!”

Tottenham are still not on Arsenal’s level

Tottenham fans will not like this, but they are a few steps behind Arsenal in their project right now.

Yes, Spurs are a fantastic team to watch and they have been brilliant since Ange Postecoglou took charge of the club in the summer.

However, they are still very open at the back and have an from open play this season. Arsenal, on the other hand, boast an after 18 games, which shows they are much harder to beat.

Tottenham are definitely on the right path under Postecoglou, but dreaming of finishing above Arsenal is just wishful thinking at this moment in time.
