‘They’ve been fantastic’: Ibrox star comments on team-mates linked with Leeds and Arsenal

If there’s one drawback that comes with success at a football club, it’s the interest it inevitably generates in your best players.

There has been no shortage of success at Ibrox this season, and it’s no surprise that the likes of Ryan Kent and Glen Kamara have been the subject of speculation.

The £50,000 acquisition of Kamara from Dundee looks to be one of the most astounding bargains of modern times, while Kent’s recent form more than justifies his heftier fee of £7m.

Both have been key performers as Rangers dominated the Scottish Premiership this season, but their performances in Europe have drawn even more plaudits.

Kent in particular was a standout against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League’s round of 32. Having been left on the bench for the first leg, he changed the game following his introduction at half-time and went on to score excellent goals in both legs.

He’s been repeatedly linked with a move to Leeds. claimed in August 2020 that a £10m bid was being prepared by the Premier League club.

In October 2020, meanwhile, said Kamara had been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Juventus.

Speaking on the , their team-mate Filip Helander said interest in the pair came as no surprise.

The former Verona and Bologna defender said:”I hope they stay at Rangers. They have been fantastic. We will have to see what happens.

“I hope they stay as that would be great for all of us. But I can also understand the interest in them.”

On his team’s title success, the 27-year-old said: “We are all still smiling! It’s been fantastic. We have another game now already on Thursday so we have to stop our celebration and focus on that.

“But, of course it has been fantastic.”
