‘They’re just stronger’: Tim Sherwood predicts who will now finish higher – Arsenal or Liverpool
Arsenal and Liverpool go head-to-head in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon after contrasting starts to the season.
The Gunners have exceeded pre-season expectations and sit top of the table after beating local rivals Tottenham on Saturday.
Liverpool were once again expected to be Manchester City’s nearest challengers but currently sit ninth and are struggling for form and confidence.
Pundit Tim Sherwood was a pundit on the and was asked who will now finish higher in the Premier League table at the end of the season.

Sherwood predicts who will finish higher – Arsenal or Liverpool
Sherwood said to presenter Kelly Cates: “They play Liverpool next. Liverpool are coming. Do you think now Arsenal will finish above Liverpool?”
Cates: “Well, with the way the points are now and the way Arsenal and Liverpool are playing…”
Sherwood: “I agree with you. That’s good. I think they are the second best team in the league. I think Man City are still above them, but they’re just stronger. Arsenal have got players and a manager who knows the formation.
“He’s got Zinchenko and Jesus in there. Do you think they have gone there to finish fourth? They have gone there with that winning belief and are trying to spread that around the dressing.”
It would be a huge step forward for Arsenal if they finished second, and even moreso if they give City the kind of title race Liverpool offered up last season.
They were not expected to be in the title conversation and a place in the top four and next season’s Champions League would have looked good at the start of the season.
But they can maybe set their sights higher now and beating Liverpool would be a real statement of intent for Mikel Arteta’s side.
