‘They won’t sell me for less’: Spurs-linked 22-goal, 10-assist ace shares potential starting price
Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Raul Jimenez has confirmed that he has no release clause in his Wolverhampton Wanderers contract, in conversation with the .
In addition, he stated that Wolves “won’t sell me for less” than what they bought him for, namely €40million (£35million).
According to a report from March, both Jose Mourinho’s Spurs and their North London rivals Arsenal are interested in the Mexico international.
Jimenez has been with Wolves since 2018, first on loan from Benfica before then joining the Molineux side permanently the following summer.
Since his arrival, Jimenez has been nothing short of sensational for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, notching up to date in the old gold.
This term alone, he has 22 goals and 10 assists for Wolves, according to .
He has also been a success for his nation, with 23 goals from 82 caps and a Gold Cup to his name, so it’s little surprise to see him linked with some big names.
However, Jimenez certainly won’t come cheap, and by confirming he has no release clause and won’t be sold for less than what they bought him for, the ball is firmly in Wolves’ court.
“(Wolves) bought me for €40million (£35million), they won’t sell me for less,” Jimenez told the . “There is no release clause, but the clubs (in England), it is different how they are managed.”

Jimenez is a sensational striker in the prime of his career and has proven his credentials at the highest level – Premier League and international tournaments – so he would no doubt be a superb asset for Spurs.
However, given Wolves are going places, they are likely to reject all interest in the player, or at best, place an exorbitant price tag on his head – especially since he has no release clause.
Unless Spurs manage to qualify for the Champions League, or from a personal point of view, if Jimenez wanted to move closer to London, then it’s sadly unlikely anything more concrete will develop – particurly in the uncertain economic climate caused by current world events.
