‘They will look’: Tottenham could sign someone similar to £56m Man City player this summer – journalist

Tottenham Hotspur could be in line for a very exciting summer transfer window.

If Spurs manage to secure a Champions League spot for next season they should have plenty of money to spend, and with Ange Postecoglou doing such a fantastic job, Daniel Levy may well be tempted to back his manager.

So, what sort of business will Spurs do this summer? Well there’s been a lot of chat about Tottenham buying a new striker, but there’s another attacking position that may also be addressed.

Indeed, speaking on the Podcast, Charlie Eccleshare has claimed that he thinks Tottenham could look to sign a Jeremy Doku-esque winger this summer after missing out on Antonio Nusa in the January transfer window.

Tottenham could sign someone like Jeremy Doku

Eccleshare shared his verdict on Spurs’ plans this summer and signing someone similar to the man.

“I think they really need a winger in the Jeremy Doku mould who can take one their man, be really relentless and keep Spurs high up the pitch. They don’t have that kind of player and attacks often break down. Having someone like him who can force a defence back will be useful. That’s what Antonio Nusa, who they looked at, he was in that mould, so I think that is something they will look at in the summer,” Eccleshare said.

Could be Antonio Nusa

Eccleshare says that Tottenham could again look for someone like Nusa this summer, so why not go for the man himself?

Nusa is still available. He didn’t end up making that move to Brentford in the end, and after his medical issues were all cleared up, he’s surely in line to make some sort of move this summer.

Tottenham clearly like the player, and if they are indeed looking for someone in this mould, they may be best off going for Nusa as a young option who could improve massively over the next few years.
