‘There’s interest’… £25m player’s agent confirms he has spoken to Tottenham about a move

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign Radu Dragusin, and the defender’s agent has now confirmed Spurs’ interest.

The North Londoners have had a great season so far. They are just a point off fourth-placed Manchester City, and they have every chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season. However, they need to reinforce their defence in January, and Dragusin seems like a very serious target.

Radu Dragusin’s agent confirms Tottenham’s interest

Tottenham‘s first-choice centre-back pairing is up there with the best in the Premier League.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven started the season magnificently, and when they were both available, Spurs were flying.

Then, Romero got himself suspended and Van de Ven suffered an injury. The latter is still sidelined and isn’t expected to be back at least until next month.

Tottenham need to sign a new centre-back in January to give themselves the best chance of achieving their objectives this season, and Radu Dragusin has been heavily linked.

Now, the £25 million-rated defender’s agent, Florin Manea, has confirmed that Tottenham are indeed interested in his client.

He told , as quoted by : “With Tottenham, there was only a discussion about Radu.

“There is interest from them, we will see what will happen in the next period.”

The Romanian Virgil van Dijk

Radu Dragusin is one of the most talented young defenders in the Serie A at the moment.

The Romanian, still only 21, has played every single game for Genoa this season, and he has been fantastic. He has all the qualities to become a top player, and it’s only a matter of time before he moves on to a bigger club.

Dragusin has been compared to Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, who in many people’s eyes is the best defender in the world right now.

The Romanian is far away from being anywhere near Van Dijk’s level, but if he can develop into half as good a centre-back as the Liverpool man, he will have a fine career.
