There is absolutely ‘no chance’ Tottenham will sell £22m player this month
Clubs dreaming of signing one Tottenham Hotspur player are set to face disappointment.
Ange Postecoglou still hasn’t got the full squad he wants, but he must be content with the business his side have done this summer.
Timo Werner has rejoined Tottenham on another loan deal, while Archie Gray, who is one of the best young talents in the country, has arrived from Leeds United.
Tottenham have pushed the likes of Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tanganga and Tanguy Ndombele out of the club as well, and that frees up their wage bill.
One player, however, is not going anywhere in this window.
Tottenham make Hueng-min Son decision after Saudi interest
Heung-min Son is Tottenham’s captain and best player.
The South Korean, who joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015 for £22 million (), is a fan favourite at the club.
Son has played 408 games for Tottenham, scored 162 goals and provided 82 assists over the years. He has been unbelievable for them.
Now, the attacker is 32 years old. He has entered the final year of his contract but Tottenham are set to trigger a one-year extension in Son’s deal.
That shows Spurs are keen to keep hold of their captain, but clubs in Saudi Arabia are ambitiously dreaming of signing the South Korea international this summer.
That’s according to , who claim that Al-Ahli have Son on their radar, but their chances of signing him in this window don’t look great.
That’s because there’s ‘no chance’ Tottenham will sell him this month. To add to that, Son himself has previously ruled out a move to the Middle East.
As a result, the report claims Al-Ahli ‘will have to play the long game and hope he changes his mind’, but as things stand, that is extremely unlikely.

Son’s Tottenham teammate could go to Saudi Arabia for big money
Tottenham have no interest in selling Son this summer and rightly so.
The South Korean is on the wrong side of 30, but his performances in the 2023/24 season showed that he’s still Tottenham’s best player – he was their top scorer last term.
Tottenham shouldn’t even consider selling Son, but one of the Spurs skipper’s teammates could be allowed to leave for Saudi Arabia.
Reports have claimed that Tottenham are braced for bids for Richarlison from the Saudi Pro League, with clubs there willing to pay close to £60 million to sell him.
If such an offer does arrive, it would be a no-brainer for Tottenham to cash in on him in this window.
