There are ‘whispers’ that Arsenal could make move to sign £55m Barcelona attacker

We’re into the final 48 hours of the transfer window, and Arsenal are still yet to make that ever-elusive new attacking signing.

The north London club are yet to bring in a new forward player.

However, it has been reported that Arsenal still want a a new attacker, and there are plenty of options on the market.

Speaking on The Arsenal Way YouTube channel, Kaya Kaynak has been discussing Arsenal’s attacking options before the deadline, and he says that he’s heard a whisper that Raphinha could be a late option for the Gunners.

Raphinha could be an option for Arsenal

Kaynak shared what he’s heard about Raphinha.

“Another name who I did hear a whisper of, but listen, I couldn’t tell if it was just because he was linked a few years ago, was Raphinha from Barcelona. It would make sense from an Arsenal perspective, maybe a short loan deal for a season to get him in,” Kaynak said.

Raphinha would be perfect

This could be the absolute perfect signing for Arsenal on deadline day.

Arsenal need backup to Bukayo Saka down that right flank, and Raphinha fits that bill perfectly.

The Brazilian, much like Saka, is a left-footer who loves to cut in and shoot from the edge of the box, while he’s also a hard worker who loves to beat his man.

Raphinha, of course, has plenty of Premier League experience from his time at Leeds United, while Edu knows his agent, Deco, very well from their time together in Brazil.

Arsenal were actually in for Raphinha before his move to Barcelona.

This is a late signing that makes the world of sense, but whether or not Arsenal can actually get it done remains to be seen.

The Gunners are certainly a team to keep an eye on as we enter the final knockings of this transfer window.

The man could potentially be on his way to the Emirates before the end of the transfer window.
