Theo Hernandez was a missed opportunity for Tottenham
from Real Madrid for just €20 million/£18 million (), which could prove to be a missed opportunity for Tottenham Hotspur.
The full-back has become the seventh player to exit the Bernabeu in recent weeks with the likes of Marcos Llorente, Mateo Kovacic and Raul de Tomas all departing.

The signing of Ferland Mendy would have made regular minutes hard to come by for the Frenchman, with Marcelo a favourite of Zinedine Zidane’s.
Last term he went out on loan to Real Sociedad where he did well, but Madrid’s poor season was also going to leave Hernandez vulnerable to an exit.
The £18 million sale means Real have taken a small hit on the player.
Milan have gotten themselves a great deal, and one team who perhaps should have made some enquiries is Tottenham.

Spurs could be set to lose Danny Rose this summer after lots of speculation hinting as such.
The England international is said to be one of eight players up for the chop , with Ben Davies set to stay.
At £18 million, Hernandez would have been a decent signing for Spurs.

The marauding ace has exciting potential and was never really given a fair crack at the Bernabeu.
The fact that Spurs did not make a challenge for the player would perhaps suggest they are ready to move for Ryan Sessegnon, who has been heavily linked with the north Londoners for months.
If the club do not land Sessegnon, the £18 million Hernandez transfer will look like a missed opportunity for Tottenham.
