The two strikers Arsenal are now set to target as Ollie Watkins alternatives

Arsenal are trying to get the signing of a new striker across the line in the last few days of the January transfer window.

The Gunners haven’t had any luck on that front so far, though they signalled their intent with a bold £60million bid for Ollie Watkins.

Arsenal’s bid for Watkins was rejected by Aston Villa, who were furious with the Gunners for making their move just before their Champions League meeting with Celtic.

Now, Arsenal are have reportedly cooled their interest in Watkins and turned their attentions to two alternatives including a “spectacular” £55million player.
