The three words Ange Postecoglou wrote in his statement that drove Tottenham fans to tears after his sacking
Tottenham Hotspur are now on the lookout for a new manager after ruthlessly sacking Ange Postecoglou on Friday evening.
Ange Postecoglou led Tottenham to Europa League glory just a few weeks earlier and, in doing so, also secured Champions League football for Spurs.
However, Tottenham were always expected to sack Postecoglou due to his poor domestic campaign, which saw the club finish 17th in the Premier League table.
‘It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond,’ the club wrote in a statement.
Postecoglou has broken his silence with a statement via agency CAA Base, with three words in particular driving a number of Tottenham fans to tears.

Tottenham fans emotional as Ange Postecoglou signs off with ‘Audere est Facere’
CAA Base shared a lengthy statement from Postecoglou, which included his thoughts on the Tottenham fans, which he called “the lifeblood of the club”.
He then signed off by saying: “We are forever connected. Audere est Facere.”
Audere est Facere, which is Latin for To Dare is to Do, is Tottenham’s motto, and Spurs fans felt including this showed how much Postecoglou gets the club.
“Signing off with “Audere Est Facere” because he actually understood what that meant,” one fan wrote on X in response.
“Can’t help but feel the “all those who truly love this club” might be a pointed comment at some of the decision makers he’s shared these two years with.”
Another said: ““Audere-Est-Facere” the club doesn’t even know what it means anymore but ANGE DID!!!”
The heartfelt comments kept coming, with one fan saying: “Look at that. “Audere est Facere”.
“He got it, he understood, and he was instilling it into the club.
“He was the direct opposite of our spineless, pathetic owners, and for that they wanted him gone.
“After 31 years a fan of Spurs, Ange Postecoglou will forever be my manager.”
Another said: “Thank you for everything gaffer, for actually living up to the motto of Audere Est Facere.
“The fans will always be grateful. All the best for the next step in your career.
“Ange Postecoglou, a top manager and above all, a genuinely wonderful human being.”
Another said: “Ange Postecoglou’s closing line of his statement after being sacked: “We are forever connected. Audere est Facere.”
“Someone who got it. Unlike the people at the top.”
Tottenham legend Graham Roberts also shared a heartfelt tribute to Postecoglou.

The frontrunner to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey revealed on Friday that Brentford’s Thomas Frank is the frontrunner to replace Postecoglou at Tottenham.
“I can confirm that talks have been ongoing with potential replacements for weeks,” Bailey said.
“And our information is that Brentford’s Thomas Frank has emerged as the leading contender in the last couple of weeks.
“As we reported, Daniel Levy has been impressed with Frank during conversations.”
