The three strikers that are definitely on Chelsea’s transfer shortlist this summer
Chelsea head into this summer in need of a new striker.
Indeed, Nicolas Jackson’s injury has exposed the Blues’ lack of depth up front, and Enzo Maresca needs more reinforcements in this area.
Jackson had earned praise this season before going down with an injury.
The summer transfer window opens in just a few months’ time, and Chelsea are going to be active on this front.
Speaking on the London is Blue Podcast, Matt Law has been discu𓂃ssing Chelsea’s search for a new striker.
The journalist shared what he knows about the Stamford Bridge outfit’s hunt for a 🧸new forward, naming three strikers who he’s certain are on the club’s shortlist.

The three strikers that are definitely on Chelsea’s shortlist
Law named the three centre-forwa𝕴rds he’s certain Che🧸lsea are looking at.
The journalist says that Liam Delap, Benjamin Sesko and Victor Osimhen are all under consideration at Chelsea.
“So, Liam Delap is definitely on the radar, not just of the manager, but the club like 💃him as well as the manager. Manager obviously has a link to him and likes him. I 💟think he’s a good player, but I also think he’s not a development player, but he’s not anywhere near the finished article, and he’s not a sure bet either,” Law said.
“Well, the in🌺teresting thing is on my way here, there was a report out saying that he has a release clause if they go down, which they will, of 40 million.
“In which case, it becomes very attractive in the model. I don’t know whet꧒her that’s true. I was literally on the tube here when I saw that pop up on my phone, so I went and checked it out.”
“You’ve then got Sesko🎃, who also has a release clause. I think, though, there’s going to be a lot of competition for Sesko, and I think that will be, if꧑ you look at the model of this ownership, they don’t tend to go bidding against other people. They don’t tend to go into auction.
“I don’t think they like the idea of the fee being pushed up by auction, so I think that’s less likely. I think Osimhen is still a possibility as well. I don’t think that’s completely off the table, and I’m sure there’s probably a couple of others I’m not aware of, but they’re the three that I’ဣm certain are on a list.”
Liam Delap, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko compared
Chelsea have three stellar striking options on their radar here, and when you analyse the numbers, it’s hard to pick out who would be the Blues’ best optio𒆙n.
Benjamin Sesko | Victor Osimhen | Liam Delap | |
Games | 26 | 22 | 28 |
Goals | 10 | 20 | 10 |
Assists | 5 | 4 | 2 |
Goals per game | 0.38 | 0.9 | 0.36 |
Age | 21 | 26 | 22 |
There are pros an𓂃d cons for each of these options.
Victor Osimhen has 🗹scored the most goals this season, but, then again, 🔴that is in the Turkish Super Lig.
However, Osimhen has proven himself in Serie A over the years, while he’s also 🌳scored goals at Champions League level too.
Meanwhile, Liam Delap is a younger, and potentially cheaper, opti൲on, and he’s proven in th🦋e Premier League.
Benjamin Sesko has also scored plenty of goals for his age, and he has room to g🌱row into a star too🤡.
Arsenal also want to sign Sesko this summer.
Regardless of which player Chelsea go for in this upcoming transfer wဣindow, Delap, Osimhen or Sesko would all be very exciting additions to this side.
