The three players who could now fill in for Tottenham captain Son Heung-min if he’s injured
Tottenham Hotspur are currently sweating on the fitness of Son Heung-min, who picked up a knock on Thursday night.
Spurs hosted Qarabag in their Europa League opener and ran out 3-0 winners, with Son starting the game.
However, the Tottenham captain went down midway through the second half and received treatment, but could not continue.
Son walked gingerly off the pitch as he made way for Timo Werner in the 71st minute of the game.
Ange Postecoglou has since provided two updates on the Spurs skipper’s fitness.
The Tottenham boss said his player looked “tired” on Thursday night and then suggested he didn’t look too bad in his Friday afternoon presser.
On Friday, Postecoglou also shared who he felt could fill in for Son in case he’s forced to miss any games.

Mikey Moore, Timo Werner and Dejan Kulusevski could fill in for Tottenham captain Son Heung-min
As per , the Spurs manager was asked whether he feels Mikey Moore is not yet ready to fill in as a starter.
Postecoglou said this wasn’t the case, saying Moore is indeed an option, as are Werner and Dejan Kulusevski.
“No, I wouldn’t say that,” Postecoglou replied when asked about Moore. “Yeah, we’ll see with Sonny.
“Obviously with Wilson out, we’re kind of limited and with Richy out because Richy can play there as well.
“We are kind of limited but Timo and Mikey can certainly come into the frame.
“We have Deki Kulusevski who can play wide as well so we’ve got some options there, but firstly we’ll see how Sonny is.”

Moore has Son stamp of approval
Moore is one of Tottenham’s most exciting academy graduates, doing so well at just 17 years of age that he’s now part of Spurs’ first-team squad.
Son spoke at length about Moore earlier this week, saying he’s a “fantastic” young talent with the right attitude to succeed in the game.
“He’s showing good personality and working hard, which is very important to me,” said the Spurs captain.
“Mikey is also coming to me most of the times and asking questions, which is very fun. I enjoy talking to him.
“He’s a fantastic boy and then I’m definitely sure that he can be a fantastic player. There’s no doubt because he has such amazing quality.”
